How Big Are Your Dreams? Preschool Graduation 2012

I'm so proud of all of my students this year! We had such fun groups of kids in all my classes!
Our preschool graduation theme this year was "How Big Are your Dreams?". I was inspired by Bobbi Hansen's newly released children's cd titled, "We Are Amazing!" with songs by Melanie Hoffman and Steven Kapp Perry. (For more information on the music, visit www.anykidcan.org)

'How Big Are Your Dreams'
lyrics:

How big are your dreams?
Are they big enough to take you somewhere you love?
How big are your dreams?
Can they carry you up to the clouds above?

Dreams are things that give us wings,
so if you want to fly;
How big re your dreams?

Young Christopher Columbus made a small boat.
He put it in the water to see if it would float.
But he was not content with just a boat in a pond.
He started to imagine the ocean beyond!

Chorus(repeat)

Sally Ride the astronaut was once a small girl.
She bought a tennis racquet and she gave it a twirl.
But then one day she hit the ball straight up to the sky
And started to imagine the power to fly.

Chorus(repeat)

How big are your dreams?

Here are a few photos of our "classroom" just before students and parents began arriving for graduation.

When I was in Kindergarten I also had a dream. I dreamt that I would be an artist one day. I made this adorable little drawing when I was a Kindergartener at Fort Washington Elementary School. I feel as if I've had my dreams fulfilled in many ways by teaching and inspiring my classes! What a privilege it's been to teach them and encourage them!

A few of my students projects are posted below. I want to thank Holly Nef, my Buchanan high school senior volunteer, for taking all of these photos! I was busy hosting and unfortunately missed getting photos of my morning classes performance.

Lots of BIG dreams at our school! Doctors, teachers, farmers, nurses, and more! :)

Titan Lawrence self-portrait. :) All of my students had a watercolor self-portrait on display.

Another fun project that all of my classes did was "My Wish...". Each child told me what their wish for the future was. :)
There were so many adorable wishes!

We were all so excited for the graduation to begin!

Haha! Here I am, saying a few words before we began the student performance. ;)

All lined-up and ready to perform.

The first song performed was, "What Can You Do?"

They did such a GOOD JOB!! :)

The next song performed was, "What A Smile Can Do"

I was so proud! I was beaming! Such a wonderful class!

After the student performance I handed out the graduation certificates and a CD with the hundreds of photos taken all year of the class.

Kynzlee, Taden, Norah, Kaylee, Brielle, Titan, and Peter.

So many cute, proud parents!!! Thank you all for all of your love and support this year!!!

What a great year! Thanks again for everything! You are all AMAZING! :)
